BIOGRAPHY
"As a lifelong artist, I am always looking for the next opportunity to translate my everyday experiences into artistic expressions.

Originally from Riga, Latvia, born to Russian and Ukrainian parents in 1983. My family and I immigrated to the United States when I was 9 years old. I grew up in South Brooklyn, four blocks away from Astroland Park in Coney Island.
I attended Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and have an Associate Degree in Fine Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Antique Restoration. Before I embarked on my tattoo apprenticeship journey I was working in the restoration field, restoring 17th, 18th century English furniture.

At the age of 18 I got my first tattoo of a phoenix, now seamlessly incorporated with my Tennyo backpiece both done by Rodrigo Melo.

My apprenticeship under Rodrigo Melo began in 2008 and I continue to learn from him everyday. Being a couple and a family we have a unique viewpoint into each others creative process and which drives and inspires us both.
After a short hiatus to enjoy being a mother and all the things that motherhood entails for the first few years I am back and ready to take on new projects. I continue to create new works of art on paper, show and sell my work in art exhibitions.
Currently I am taking art commissions and new tattoo work by appointment in my studio in Woodstock, New York." Anna.
